The Mitchell EZB is a super short-scale acoustic-electric mini bass. This compact instrument delivers huge sound and comfortable playability for younger players, students or guitarists with smaller hands. The EZB mini-bass is designed with a mini-dreadnought mahogany body for enhanced projection and volume, a spruce top for brightness and a 24"-scale mahogany neck that’s easy for anyone to pick up and play. Additional appointments include a genuine abalone sound hole rosette, onboard preamp/pickup and chrome-plated tuning machines.
The mini-dreadnought body style offers effortless playability and maximum comfort. This gives the EZB super short-scale bass big sound with a small footprint and delivers excellent projection, especially when recording with a microphone. A mahogany neck with C profile and Brazilian cherry fingerboard provide additional resonance and sustain.
An under-the-saddle pickup and built-in 3-band EQ preamp provide ample output, making it easy to patch into any amplifier system. A phase feedback filter is also included to create a thicker sound, if desired. Plus, players of all skill levels will love how easy it is to tune up the EZB via the onboard chromatic tuner.
The EZB super short-scale acoustic-electric bass is a convenient go-anywhere tool for study, songwriting, recording and performance. Unlike other acoustic-electric bass guitars, the Mitchell EZB features lighter bracing and a thinner finish that allows the instrument to resonate freely and to elicit a bigger, warmer sound. Designed with comfort in mind, this Mitchell short-scale bass is a great place to start honing your chops.
