The housing bears the series name SUPREME in place of the original DELUXE moniker but this is the only hint to what lies hidden under the dust cover. Using all vintage specs these tuning machines will drop right into your instrument using the vintage 6 in line individual tuners with no modifications. This is a complete set and comes with 6 bass side tuning machines with metal oval buttons and all hardware needed for installation.

Kluson®'s reissued Firebird/Banjo tuning machines for Gibson® Firebird®! Staying true to the design in virtually every aspect using planetary gears with a 12:1 ratio (wind rate = to 14.6:1 ratio), the exact mounting screw pattern, housing size and appearance with the 5/16 inch string post. The Kluson® Sealfast® tuning machine was the flagship of the die-cast Kluson® lineup and has been out of production since the 1970s. We are proud to reintroduce this tuner using their original predecessors to create the tooling and footprint from to assure you a drop-in replacement for your original vintage instrument! This specific tuner model was used on numerous high end Gibson® Super 400®, Johnny Smith and Byrdland models. We have enhanced the gear ratio to 15:1 which gives a tighter feel while maintaining the original 5/16 inch post diameter for optimum performance. Designed from the originals, we have created a visual replication that includes the hex nut on the button shaft and the Kluson® brand for a completely authentic appearance. This version with the plastic keystone button would have been used for 1950's date range production.
